Simply type the code into your phone and thats it - Unlocked...you can then use any sim card from any provider in your handset. Why do I need the MEP ID from your phone - This is vital as it identifies amongst other things the operator (network) and security of the phone - Along with the IMEI your UNIQUE unlock code is generated. It will Read BOTH your IMEI and MEP code: (If you use the reader, please ensure there is NO pin on the phone OR sim card and disable or remove your memory card - otherwise the reader will constantly say "waiting for BlackBerry" Download the Reader - Blackberry MEP Reader If not already installed on your PC, download Blackberry Drivers Blackberry Drivers Once downloaded and installed connect your blackberry with the orignal USB cable supplied with the phone, run the software and click "read phone" Your IMEI and MEP code will be displayed
If you are unable to find you MEP code - I do hold a small database of MEP codes that can be found using your PRD number (found under the battery) - Send me your PRD code in a message BEFORE odering your code and if held I will send your MEP ID back you to you. When you receive your code, depending on your model, there are different ways to enter it - the most common is to insert a non accepted sim card and follow on screen instructions.
